Role Overview We are looking for a talented Curriculum Developer - Robotics Education (Primary & Secondary Schools) to design an innovative robotics programme for students aged 6-16. Based in Malaysia, this role offers the opportunity to create a comprehensive curriculum that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and technical proficiency, preparing students aged 6-16 for both real-world applications and robotics competitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Design for Ages 6-16: Develop a structured robotics curriculum for primary and secondary students, incorporating basic coding, hands-on robotics, and critical thinking skills.
- Age-Appropriate Modules: Create coding and robotics modules in Python, C++, and block-based programming, progressing from beginner to advanced concepts.
- Competition Readiness: Prepare students for robotics competitions with a focus on teamwork, innovation, and practical applications.
- Real-World Applications: Integrate STEM concepts to teach students how to apply robotics to challenges like environmental sustainability.
- Pilot Programmes & Feedback: Collaborate with robotics experts to gather project ideas, partner with schools to pilot the curriculum, collect feedback, and refine content for optimal effectiveness.
Requirements
- Education: At least a Degree in Education, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- K-12 / Primary & Secondary Schools Teaching or Curriculum Development: Minimum of 5 years experience in designing robotics programming curriculum, or teaching robotics to students in the Government, Chinese, or International Schools.
- Coding Proficiency: Good knowledge of Python, C++, and visual programming (e.g., Scratch) for teaching robotics.
- STEM Integration Insight: Demonstrated understanding of how to incorporate STEM concepts into a comprehensive robotics education programme, emphasising real-world problem-solving and practical application skills.
