Job Description

Job Summary:-

Support Head of CIQ & HSE in leading Quality and Health, Safety & Environment in Swagelok Malaysia. Provide support for Quality Management System Maintenance, implementation and validation of New Local Capability before production goes live. Ensure timely and efficient Product Return Handling (Customer Satisfaction). Proactively instill a Continuous Improvement culture and mindset, making it a normal way to work via Quality Champion Development Program, campaigns, knowledge sharing, gap identification and Problem-Solving Tools. Guide and Support direct report to process. Quality Notes submitted and the issuance of Corrective Action Reports to relevant internal and external parties.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Continuous Improvement

  • Overall team lead for QN-CAR Platform management. Ensure team reviews submission of Quality Notes and issuance of internal Corrective Action Reports within 2 days turnaround time.
  • Timely update of Quality Dashboard on SharePoint.
  • Continuous Improvement Culture: Actively promote a Continuous Improvement Culture within Swagelok Malaysia via Continuous Improvement Initiative submissions. Review and management of CIs submitted based on criteria (Mini CIs vs Total Organization CIs). Creatively coordinate reward and recognition program for CIs submitted (Monthly townhall/ Year End Annual Award) Proactively propose solutions for any quality gaps identified.
  • CAR Facilitator Training & Development: Create a strong relationship of CAR Facilitators within Swagelok Malaysia via best practice sharing, regular updates, and training of problem-solving tools.

Quality

  • Maintenance of Quality Management System (ISO9001 and SQS-D) from certification, audits, management review, management and processing of document and record control.
  • Lead and facilitate the internal Quality Champion Program as one of the initiatives to elevate Quality and CI culture within the organization. The Quality Champion is to be trained and ensure quality knowledge is passed on to their respective teams.
  • Product Return and Product Incident: Review Component Product Return requests from internal (Swagelok Malaysia associates) and external (customers, suppliers), coordinate for inspection and review completeness and accuracy of documents before CAP submission in Connections in a timely manner. Submission of CAP in Connections and to take lead in ensuring product return process from start to end (sharing of product investigation report to relevant parties for further action). -Effective and Productive management of quarantine location (Inspection requirements and product not sitting unattended for long periods of time)-Review and Report Product Return, Product Incident data and trend analysis (application gaps vs factory workmanship and material gaps).
  • Gather and lead product incident ensuring that information is escalated to Distributor Principal and Swagelok immediately.
  • Product Recall: Lead and act as main communication PIC for quality recall notice as applicable (Recall from Swagelok Factory and 3rd party Suppliers)
  • For any Local Capability that Swagelok Malaysia would like to apply for, lead the review of Swagelok, quality and regulatory requirements and compliance, support in the creation of new documentation availability and validation process reporting before production go live. Continue to support and ensure stability and full compliance of Local Capability for at least 2 months after going live before passing it on to CIQ BAU management.
  • Supplier Management: Review and approve suppliers through audits and site visit to maintain quality level of suppliers.
  • Strategic Key Account Manager (SKAM): Act as main communication PIC for quality for key customers, leading the team to meet customer quality requirement. Identify and solve the quality gaps identified or quality concerns raised by customers.

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Lead, manage and regularly review Swagelok Malaysia's OSH Management System and OSH policies and compliance (Inclusive of internal, external audits and inspections as required).

Requirements :

  • Min Degree in Engineering, Quality Management System, Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent with 5-8 years working experience.
  • Knowledgeable on ISO9001, DOSH, OSHA & ISO45000 Occupational Safety & Health Management System. Registered with DOSH (Green Book) and working experience in manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
  • Familiar with ISO14000, ASME and SEMI standards would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
  • Enthusiastic on gaining new knowledge and breaking through challenges.
  • Ability to display Strategic and Critical thinking,
  • Detailed in work tasks, Agile, Accountable, and collaborative in character.
