Opportunity
We are hiring a Content Analyst in our Kuching office. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is one of the key verticals within Financial Content Operations which caters to clients engaged in equity research. ESG provides integrated financial and extra-financial information, which is essential for understanding the long-term performance and risk profile of major corporations. Our comprehensive ESG database covers nearly 80% of the global market cap and over 500 metrics, including all exclusion (ethical screening) criteria and all aspects of sustainability performance.
The data is gathered from publicly available information sources and is manually collected to ensure that the information is standardized, comparable and reliable. All the ESG data collected is quality controlled and verified in a rigorous process by our experienced analysts and robust automated checks. The successful candidate is responsible for capturing ESG data into the system and making sure that it is timely, complete, and accurate.
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Collect ESG-related information through reading and analyzing multiple sources and reports
Capture the data points completely and accurately
Process data according to set timeliness, including data coming from Contributors
Communicate & liaise with internal and external departments for resolution of data queries
Maximize usage of available tools and support to maintain and improve content quality
Test new database/application releases where appropriate, providing expert user feedback
Support specific projects, as assigned by manager
Adhere to change control procedures, data operations standards and current data policies and procedures
Responsible for delivering high productivity and quality data
Proactively identify and resolve data problems
Required Skills & Qualification
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Proficient in English and Mandarin (read and write)
Proficient in using MS-Excel
Communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
Research and data analysis
Attention to detail
Customer-focused and curious to learn and know more about the Content.
Excellent reading and comprehension skills to read the paragraphs and dotted lines in the report
High accountability & responsibility
