The role of a advisory content manager involves developing and curating advisory content that cumulates into weekly and monthly wealth publications that are disseminated internally and externally. These wealth publications disseminate the market outlook and wealth insights from the OCBC Wealth Panel.
The role requires investment knowledge, analytical skills and the ability to coordinate with the multiple stakeholders involved in publishing and delivering the wealth publications.
Involves the development of advisory content for supporting the application of wealth management products to clients wealth planning needs. Similar content focused on improving the advisory competency of front line staff and broadening their investment knowledge is also developed by the advisory content manager.
The advisory content plays a key role in enhancing the client engagement experience for both staff and clients of the bank.
Research and analysis of underlying assets as part of the product due diligence process for wealth products, e.g. fixed income products such as retail bonds and equity products such as autocallable equity structured investments.
The product advisory support role continues over the life of the product in relation to updates on the fundamentals of the underlying asset, e.g. credit rating changes and corporate result updates.
The mix of both process management skills, technical analytical skills and communications skills required is a combination that poses a challenge to internal staff sourcing initiatives.
Job Requirements
Minimum 3-5 year of relevant experience in Wealth Management products
A solid understanding of financial markets and the ability to articulate investment views and provide solutions to all level (internally or externally)
Exceptional understanding of the full range of investment expertise in Wealth Management and related products, services and processes
Able to demonstrate leadership qualities in terms of a role model and in creative thinking
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Accreditation in Federation of Investment Managers Malaysia (FIMM) certification and Investor Protection Professional Certification (IPPC)
