The role of a Conference Producer includes producing the conferences, seminars and workshops, researching, creating, and executing one-day or two-days business-to-business conferences, assisting with the research and development of new and/or existing events, and writing marketing copy and content pieces for established conferences.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Research
- Carry out research calls with senior executives to obtain detailed insight as to industry trends
- Carry out desktop research with past delegates and key exhibition visitors to identify key topics for fresh content
- Following and reporting on other industry events and comparative events
Content Creation (Be highly creative)
- Conference agenda In depth topics
- Conference Brochure, Sponsorship Prospectus Content overview, who should attend, why this event, etc.
- Prepare email template accordingly
Project Management
- Write a highly detailed, commercial, technical or strategic agenda capturing exactly what the sub-industry wants to learn
- Pitch, invite and confirm executive level speakers from the leading companies within the sub industry
- Ongoing project management of the live content, ensuring proper liaising and coordination between various departments
- Onsite management of the live events, including speaker and operations management
Sponsorship & Sales Brief
- Give the sponsorship and sales department a complete run down of the event
- Provide the team with relevant articles, white papers and reports
- Pitching points for sponsorship and sales team
- Its expected that you will be proactive and look at ways to assist the sales and sponsorship team to counter any product related objections that may surface
General
- Writing website and marketing copy as required
- Help create the sales and marketing strategy to drive revenue on your project
- Build relationships with key industry players (buyer and supplier side) to advise on conference content
Social Media Support
- Clarify your target audience and ideal social platform before the post
- Have enough event info to sell tickets as soon as you announce
- Work with designer, marketing and branding team in designing attractive designs and live content
Partner & Media Engagement
- Know who you're targeting
- Find the right partners
- Get your messaging right
- Engage with your partners and/or media
- Stakeholder management i.e. government agency engagement
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Phone research to gather information from thought leaders
