  • DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Communications Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and executing internal and external communication strategies that enhance our brand, values, engage stakeholders, and support our business objectives.

    All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.

    Overview

    Develop and implement strategic communication plans at a country level (Malaysia, Singapore)
    Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, working with colleagues across Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, UK, France, Portugal, Middle East and Africa.
    Enhance the overall communications strategy through innovative and creative solutions.
    Drive impactful and effective communication initiatives that align with corporate objectives

    Responsibilities

    Strategic Communication: Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans at a country level that align with Subsea7s goals and values for Malaysia and Singapore offices, while supporting the regional GPC East communications.
    Content Creation: Produce high-quality content (graphic design, writing, reviewing & editing, grammatical checks etc.) for various channels, including internal newsletters, videos, social media, internal releases, communications campaigns etc.
    Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with management and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective communication.
    Event Management: Plan, coordinate and execute high-profile events, including town halls, conferences, webinars, forums and other communication initiatives.
    Platform Management: Monitor, manage and optimize Subsea7 intranet site and Viva Engage groups
    Measurement and Reporting: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and provide regular reports to the communications manager/team lead.

    Requirements

    Creative approach to conveying messages effectively and engagingly
    Analytical and critical; able to critique communication materials and provide solutions
    High attention to detail and strong drive for performance
    Proactive and self-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset
    Collaborative team-player and able to work within culturally diverse teams
    Positive attitude with an open/learning mindset
    Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

    Key Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
    Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Communications, Media, Marketing, or a related field

    Skills:

    Excellent command of English, written and verbal.
    Strong project management and organisational abilities
    Strong interpersonal skills
    Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

    Proficiency in:

    Graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
    Video editing software (Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro)
    Microsoft 365 suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel)
    Web design knowledge is considered a plus
