We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Commis to join our kitchen team. As a Commis, you will assist the senior chefs in preparing and cooking a variety of Yoshoku dishes, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn and grow in the culinary field.
Food Preparation:
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including cutting, marinating, and portioning food items according to recipes and standards.Cooking:
Support the chefs in cooking and assembling dishes, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate served.Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the receiving, storing, and managing of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations during service.Learning & Development:
Continuously improve culinary skills by learning from senior chefs and participating in kitchen training sessions.Experience:
Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred, but not mandatory. Fresh graduates from culinary school are encouraged to apply.Skills:
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, knife handling, and food safety practices.Passion: A strong interest in Japanese-Western fusion cuisine and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary industry.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, taking direction and supporting colleagues as needed.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.Language:
