Proven experience in a similar role- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred
Assisting in the preparation of meals
- Ensuring ingredients are prepped and ready for service
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen- Assisting with inventory and stock management
Preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and standards- Supervising and guiding commis chefs and kitchen assistants
Ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
- Managing kitchen operations in the absence of the head chef
