RESPONSIBILITY - Operate a group of CNC machines according to stipulated conditions.
Hourly inspect parts and record critical dimensions- Change tools according to schedule. Offset tools - identify correct dimensions, offset number and value to adjust.
Follow procedures on takeover and handover shifts visual check of sample parts, machine/tools condition and housekeeping.
- Examine the engineering drawing and material specification and verify the fixture and tooling used.
Set up the machine accordingly to the process plan by Engineer.- Check parts produced after settings meet customers specifications before passing on to the machine operators and machinist to handle the machine.
Trouble-shoot and fine tune machines to operate at optimum condition.
- Reset and adjust machines if not stable.
Continuously seek to make suggestion for improvements and cycle time management.
Candidate with SPM or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent- Minimum 2 years experience in CNC Auto-lathe machine
Able to read engineering drawing specification (equipment/materials requirement) and program
- Able to set-up CNC Turning Machine
Able to use measuring equipment like micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicator and plug gauges and thread gauges- Able to work rotating shift and Overtime
