Identify and document methods of inspection based on specifications utilizing standard inspection equipment.- Work to drawings, MIL specifications, IPC and ISO standards or other written or verbal information and instructions.
Train inspectors and operators in proper inspection procedures and equipment operation; provide guidance and direction to quality inspectors in their daily assignments.
- Operate all standard inspection equipment, including programming and operation of coordinate measuring machines, electronic height gages, optical comparators, volt meters, all types of hand tools and gages as well as cosmetic evaluation of metal and glass surfaces, as appropriate to the specific position.
Determine tooling and fixtures needed for inspection.- Investigate problems and initiate corrective actions.
Maintain inspection records.
- Assist and support the calibration of measuring equipment throughout the company.
Maintain equipment and work area in a neat and orderly condition.- Follow prescribed safety policy and regulations.
