Description

Primary Objective:
  • Responsible to handle the following (listed) portfolios and ensure all the related claims are fairly & promptly settled in accordance with the Company's guidelines / Claims Manual, BNM & PIAM guidelines.

Liability/Bond/WCA Claims


Key Responsibilities:
  1. To verify assess and approve promptly all claims within authority and for claims exceeding authority, to process, recommend and submit them promptly to superiors for consideration.
  2. To ensure the appointment of adjusters are promptly attended within the time frame.
  3. Ensure the case where an adjuster is appointed is monitored closely and monthly bordereaux on the status is submitted to us. If necessary to arrange meeting to discuss on complex cases with our adjuster.
  4. Attending monthly bordereaux meetings with panel Adjusters.
  5. Regularly review the performance of the adjusters and report same to the Unit Head and Head, BA/FA.
  6. To provide guidance and direction to subordinates/ Branches/ Customers and in relation to technical claims matters.
  7. To refer immediately any complaints received from Customers, Branches, BNM, PIAM, OFS and Intermediaries to Unit Head/ Head, BA/FA so that these are promptly and effectively monitored and resolved within the time frame.
  8. To ensure all claims suspected having fraud elements or in violation of policy conditions are brought to attention of Section Head & in his/ her absence to Head, BA/FA / CEO.
  9. To monitor and review files on yearly basis.
  10. Ensure all necessary advices to MNRB & Treaty Reinsurers (Excess of Loss (XOL)/ Surplus) are submitted as required and laid down under the Reinsurance Agreement.
  11. Achieve a higher monthly closure rate.
  12. To ensure all recoveries are actively pursued.

Any other duties as may be assigned by the Company from time to time.

Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - Degree.

- Professional Qualification in Insurance

At least 5 years claim experience in all classes of insurance

  • Possess good communication skills in both written and spoken English
