Job Responsibility
- Supervision: Direct and oversee all on-site construction activities, including managing subcontractors, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that work is progressing according to schedule and budget.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that work meets quality standards and specifications. Address any deficiencies or non-conformances promptly and ensure that corrective actions are taken.
- Health and Safety: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to promote awareness and compliance.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain a project schedule, ensuring that all activities are properly sequenced and coordinated. Monitor progress against the schedule and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and any issues that may arise.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address potential challenges or obstacles to project success. Work closely with project teams to develop solutions and ensure that work proceeds smoothly.
Documentation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project progress, including daily reports, inspection reports, and change orders. Prepare and submit required documentation to clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders as needed.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a construction site supervisor role.
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
