Summary
The Product Industrialization Engineer (PIE) is responsible for New Product Introduction (NPI), NPI readiness, maintaining BOM/Routing/Cost and support mass production. Ensure the new product is developed meeting Operations, DFM and capability requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
- Project management to ensure the new product/project meets the requirements and complete within the given timeline as per the PIP procedure.
- Prepare product drawing & specification for internal use and for customer approval.
- Manage sample build and perform sample qualification as per the requirements.
- Ensure new product development meets DFM and capability requirements.
- Set up BOM & routing, cost roll-up and prepare manufacturing documents for NPI readiness.
- Qualify outsourcing process with FA submission and approval.
- Responsible for LRVT (Launch Readiness Verification Test) before releasing a new product to mass production.
- Responsible for ECN (Engineering Change Notice).
- Maintaining and updating BOM, routing, cost, and all manufacturing documents.
- Support mass production issues related to specification and product design.
- Responsible for achieving department KPIs.
- Working on the Kaizen/ Continuous Improvement.
- Comply with all environmental control procedures.
- Ensure all activities are performed in a manner that does not create unnecessary environmental impacts.
- Report or feedback on environmental incidents or improvements needed.
- Other duties may be assigned by the manager when required.
Qualifications
- AutoCAD (minimum 2007 version) read & draw.
- Basic understanding with Adobe Illustrator (creating new & made amendment) will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of RFID Field will be an advantage.
- Able to use MS Project / Gant Chart for project monitoring.
- Oracle & Agile users will be an advantage.
- Must have good attitude & enthusiasm for Product Engineering
- Basic understanding of production / manufacturing equipment and processes
Education And/or Experience
- Degree in Electrical / Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with minimum 2-3 years of working experience as NPI/Product Engineer.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001: 2015, and OSHA regulations.
Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English language verbally and in writing.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in Auto CAD
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
- Able to use Minitab Program will be an advantage.
