Job Description

As a Chef De Partie Pastry, you are responsible for operating the pastry section of the kitchen while working closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef. A Chef De Partie Pasty will also be required to plan production and develop seasonal offerings. Responsible to create high quality pastry dishes with the standard recipes and presentations in order to maintain quality standards and consistency of product. Also assist in production and maintenance of par stocks of pastry and dessert with proper rotation of products and maintain highest cleanliness and hygiene standard in the pastry and bakery section.
  • Manages all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.
Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, laminated Danish and croissants etc. following traditional and modern recipes for Pastry Kitchen.
  • Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks
Coordinate daily tasks with Sous Chef or Executive Chef and manage pastry preparation and supply to other outlets (internal & external) when required.
  • Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation and actively take part in set up and supervising of buffets and special functions
Contribute to menu creation
  • Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
Monitor stocks and check the quality of materials for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.


  • Who Must You Be

To successfully fill this role, you will have the right attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pastry cooking or Chef De Partie Pastry Experience with high volume food production.
Good knowledge of different types of pastry, dessert, cake decorating.
  • Possess professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings.
  • Willing to travel for cross exposure training or as trainer to other outlets.
Positive attitude and good communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,
  • 00 - RM4,000.00 per month
