Job Description

Job Responsibility

  • Assist the head chef in planning and directing food preparation
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and high-quality service
  • Train new kitchen staff and ensure ongoing training and development for all team member
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
  • Assist in developing and updating the menu, including daily specials
  • Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring they are performing their duties effectively
  • Assist in managing kitchen expenses, controlling food costs, and minimizing waste

Job Requirements

  • SPM holder with at least 3 years of chef experience, specializing in Chinese cuisine is advantages
  • Passionate about cooking with a desire for continuous improvement
  • Able to contribute to menu development and create innovative dishes
  • Strong leadership skills to manage kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and maintain team dynamics
  • Excellent time management in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in Mandarin and strong verbal communication skills for coordination across departments
  • Non-Muslim (due to non-halal business requirements)
  • Eager to grow professionally
