JOB SUMMARY

To perform a variety of electro-mechanical equipments/ functions such as servicing, repairing, troubleshooting, modification and carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) programs as requested by Superior.

• A) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for maintaining, supervising and operating of Main Switch Board (MSB) and Generator Set (Gen-Set) to all PUSPAKOM branches.

• Carry out duty as appointed Chargeman for PUSPAKOM and complying with Electricity Supply Act 1990 & Electricity Regulation 1990

Ensure the MSB and Gen-set at optimum level and operational all time.

• Lead and carry out the planned preventive maintenance to all MSB and Gen-set.

Lead and carry out corrective maintenance from time to time for MSB and Gen-Set

• Ensure and monitor the power factor for all branches more than
• 8 at all the time.

Lead and carry out 3-phase and 1-phase electrical wiring for PUSPAKOM buildings from time to time.

• Prepare service/test report and submit to Building Services Engineer for analysis.

Ensure all MSB are registered and calibrated as per Electricity Regulation 1990 by approved Suruhanjaya Tenaga contractor. Photocopy of the approved documents should be kept in Head Office for monitoring purpose.

• Establish and maintain filing system on the following:

- Service Report of Gen-set, MSB, Electrical Wiring, Power cable for all branches.

- Status of Gen-set, MSB, Electrical Wiring, Power cable for all branches.

- Proof copy of MSB calibration work

• Guide and train the branch technicians on handling of Gen-Set when emergency.
  

• Provide support in electrical technical know-how to Head of Sections, Head of Departments, Head of Divisions and Management from time to time.
  

• Monitor and ensure that all lighting system, electrical wiring and lightning protection system for building are complying with local regulation.
  

• Assist and attend the instruction from Head of Sections, Head of Departments, and Management from time to time.
  
  
• B) JOB REQUIREMENT

• i. Minimum Education:

- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent certificate from recognized body

- Valid chargeman certificate of A4-2 and above from Suruhanjaya Tenaga

• ii. Related Experience (Years):

- At least 1 year working experience in electrical troubleshooting, repairing work, diagnosing and maintaining of gen-set, MSB, and protection relays.

• iii. Competencies and skills:

- Has an understanding in electrical principle

- Has understanding in safety and health requirement

- Team player and good leadership

- Sense of urgency

- Work under pressure

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Competent in Microsoft applications

- Result oriented and customer oriented

- Has an understanding of contracts management

• iv. Others:

- Posses certificate of Wireman 3-Phase would be an additional advantage.

- Willing to be located at any PUSPAKOM branches nationwide

- Willing to travel in short period notice and work overtime

- Possessed own transport and valid driving license.

- Computer literature and good reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,085.52 - RM5,447.60 per month
