Key Responsibilities:- Electrical Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems (e.g., generators, transformers, switchgear) to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnose and repair electrical problems, faults, and malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.Installation and Upgrades:
Plan and oversee the installation of new electrical systems or upgrades to existing infrastructure, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of electrical technicians and assistants, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including reports on inspections, repairs, and installations.Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns, implementing effective solutions to restore functionality and minimize disruption.Education:
Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Higher qualifications such as a Degree in Electrical Engineering may be preferred.Experience:
Proven experience as a Chargeman or similar role in industrial or commercial settings, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and repair.Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Certifications: Possession of Chargeman (AO/A1/A4-2/A4-1/A4/BO-2/BO-1/BO/B1/B4) certification issued by Energy Commission (ST), Malaysia, or relevant certification depending on location.
