Job description

REQUIREMENT:

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate or Diploma (Electrical, Electronic) or equivalent.

Possess a Chargeman A4 certificate of competency based on 2 years working experience in high voltage system.

• Possess a Competency Certificate in Electrical Chargeman BO Issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission). Fresh qualified BO Chargeman can be considered based on experience as A4 Chargeman.

Candidate with switching, operation and maintenance, and attending breakdown of 11kV switchgears and transformers experience are encourage to apply.

• Team player and ability to multi task.

At least 2-3 years of relevant working experiences.

• Proven experience in maintenance manufacturing environment.

Good spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Computer literacy is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and execute routine maintenance cycles for electrical systems.

Conduct regular inspections and tests on electrical systems and standby equipment to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

• Attend to breakdowns and restore supply during normal working hours and standby periods.

Isolate faulty sections and restore power supply as needed.

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot 11kV electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and related systems.

Interact with NUR Distribution, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, and consultants.

• Examine schematic and as-built drawings as necessary.

Assist the Maintenance Manager in inspections, switching, and other electrical work.

• Support tasks such as standardization of procedures, electrical system planning, and updating drawings.

Propose, evaluate, and recommend new engineering equipment, spare parts, consumables, and replacements to ensure cost-effective solutions.

• Monitor and ensure the accuracy of helpdesk operations.

Ensure timely responses to breakdowns and proper documentation of maintenance activities.

• Plan and implement comprehensive maintenance programs, including preventive and corrective measures, for mechanical and electrical installations.

Performing other tasks related to the Maintenance department or ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors.
