M&A Business Development (Project-based Contract Position)

Opportunity Overview
We seek to hire a business development professional who can support the onboarding of companies looking for capital and buyers on our proprietary M&A platform. The professional will reach out to SME business owners, founders, and shareholders in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and other Asian countries to present our values in finding foreign investors, partners, and buyers. Maintaining relationships with senior business owners to draw intention to sell their business or find partners is an expected outcome from the business development effort, but supporting them throughout M&A and fundraising transactions is also a part of the responsibility.
The approach to business owners will be sector-agnostic, and the eventual candidates should be flexible in dealing with multiple sectors. The selected candidate will work on 3-5 months of project engagement under the supervision of a Project Director for project execution support. This is a contract-based position for the duration of support. Candidates with business development backgrounds who wish to explore a career in M&A would be ideal. Candidates with outstanding performance will be given a chance for a full-time position.
