Description:

The primary role is to develop new opportunities relating to Turnkey PV System Services, and PPA opportunities locally. In this capacity, this position will actively participate in the sales process, generating and qualifying leads, relationship-building with clients, gathering relevant information and requirements from the client, communicating Companys value proposition, selecting opportunities to pursue based on Companys strengths, coordinating with internal teams to develop the proposal and to present the proposal itself to the client. In addition, this position will also take a supporting role in contract negotiations upon awarding of the project.

This position will collaborate with mid-level management, marketing, finance, and technical staff in carrying out his/her role.

This position will be responsible for developing the pipeline of new business within his/her region. This position requires at least basic knowledge of the EPC and O&M market, solar project financing and the solutions/services that the Company can provide.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Understand government and quasi-government departments, programs, and processes pertaining to the industry.
  • Identify business opportunities by maintaining extensive knowledge of market conditions in the local market.
  • Provide feedback to Business Development Manager on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Originate and develop PV system solution opportunities and leads for Turnkey Systems, PPAs both on-site and off-site, and other products based on the Companys value proposition.
  • To build a leads master list through a variety of methods such as but not limited to cold calling, marketing and networking events, industry association events, business group events, and others.
  • To screen the leads master list and build a pipeline of real opportunities within the local market.
  • To be the lead and handle project tasks including but not limited to the following: proposal preparation (RFQ, RFP, One-to-One Direct Negotiation and etc), proposal submission, proposal presentation, close follow up, negotiation, contract review, etc. up to the stage where the project is officially awarded.
  • Work closely with potential clients to obtain detailed commercial and technical information to develop a viable techno-commercial proposal.
  • Support contract negotiation with client alongside senior management, finance, and legal teams internally
  • Assist the BD Manager in performing due diligence and feasibility study on new clients/partners and projects with assistance from internal departments.
  • Attend a site visit to determine the project feasibility.
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information to Business Development Manager/ on market and creative trends.
  • Provide support for the execution on key business initiatives as outlined in the yearly company business plan.
  • To coordinate between different departments internally and communicate with external parties for project tendering.
  • Any other related duties connected with the Companys business.
  • To perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma, Advance Higher, or Degree in any field.
  • Possess good communication skills (written and spoken) in English
  • At least 3 years & above working experience in the related field. Experience in the project sales / engineering company is an added advantage.
  • Required skill (s): Microsoft Office, CRM.
  • Good team player and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess own transport and ability travel 30-40% of the time.
  • Adaptable and able to execute varied tasks/ job scopes.
  • High self-motivation, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
