Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Sales Representative to join our team. This is a sales focused career path. The overall mission of the Sales Development team is to find and build opportunities for net new customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building and nurturing client relationships, and expanding Turnkey Consulting's market presence. The Business Development Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and promoting our comprehensive suite of services to organizations across various industries.

Candidates need to be motivated, organized, driven, and have proven success in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter that works well under pressure while managing & prioritizing multiple sales campaigns at once. This individual has excellent communication and organizational skills, is approachable, proactive, and detail oriented. This role supports the Turnkey Malaysia team.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify new business opportunities by conducting market research, prospecting, cross sell and upsell new opportunities and networking activities.
  • Prospect and set meetings for the account executives aligned to the territories by making cold calls, sending emails, and utilizing social media platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Following-up on any leads from marketing campaigns through to events in territory and convert to a Sales discovery call for the account executives
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to develop compelling sales proposals, presentations, and demonstrations that showcase the value and benefits of Turnkey Consulting's cybersecurity solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives, regularly reporting on sales performance and providing insights to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, consulting, and technical teams, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, CRM contact information, customer interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system.
  • Receive handover from the Global Marketing teams on any new campaigns which will generate marketing leads to follow up on
  • Ensure deal hygiene is maintained across the pipeline (monitoring out of date deals and activities are noted in the deal)
  • Supporting the contracts renewal process, alerting the Account Managers to contracts which are expiring and needing to be renewed
  • Monitoring any deals which haven't had much sales activity or are closed dormant and providing proactive support to warm up these deals

Work Experience:


Maximum of 1 to 2 years sales experience or recent college graduate with a strong desire to move into account management.

Qualification / Skills And Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Excellent proven track record in B2B in sales
  • Able to establish good rapport and build relationships with both internal and external contacts
  • Track record of success in business development or sales, preferably in the GRC/cybersecurity industry or related technology field.
  • Ideally some knowledge of Risk & Security concepts, trends, and solutions. (training will be provided)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-makers, and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Experience in call backs and call rotation (scheduling call backs to increase conversion rates of discovery calls set up for account executives)
  • Ideally a tenacious, personable and agile approach on calls with prospects, developing resilience where engagement with a prospect is challenging
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high-energy team player with the ability to develop strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand clients business challenges and align Turnkey Consulting's solutions accordingly.
  • Proven ability of managing or working as part of virtual team an advantage. Quota driven and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (ideally HubSpot) and other sales productivity tools (Voip/telephony, Video, Microsoft, LinkedIn etc).
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
