Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth by identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and enhancing our revenue streams. This role is particularly focused on building our network and relationships within government sectors and securing sponsorships, crucial for our projects and events. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional with a strong background in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably within the MICE and F&B industry.
Requirements:
- Government Relations/Liaison: Develop and maintain relationships with government officials and agencies to ensure compliance and support for business initiatives. Act as a liaison to navigate regulatory landscapes and secure necessary approvals or partnerships.
- Sponsorship Hunting: Identify and secure sponsorships and funding opportunities for events and projects, from initial research and outreach to negotiation and agreement finalization.
- Market Research and Strategy Development: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and partnership opportunities. Develop and implement targeted strategies to pursue these opportunities.
- Networking and Relationship Building: Forge and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including clients, partners, and influencers, to support business growth and elevate brand reputation.
- Sales and Negotiation: Lead the negotiation and closure of deals, aligning with the company's strategic and financial objectives.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Ensure alignment and communication across marketing, product development, and customer service teams for unified business strategies.
- Performance Analysis and Reporting: Monitor the effectiveness of business development activities, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for sustained growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communication, or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or related area, with a preference for backgrounds in the MICE sector.
- In-depth knowledge of MICE and F&B industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
