Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Elicitation:
- Collaborate with product management and potentially customers to gather and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to uncover user needs, pain points, and goals.
- Analyze and prioritize requirements based on business value, technical feasibility, and regulatory compliance.
Requirement Documentation:
- Create clear, concise, and comprehensive requirement documents, including use cases, user stories, and process flows.
- Ensure that requirements are well-organized, understandable, and accessible to both technical and non-technical team members.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between the client, product managers, and development teams, facilitating effective communication and alignment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that development efforts align with business objectives and user expectations.
Feature Validation and Testing:
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to define test cases and validate that features meet the specified requirements.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback from clients to ensure features are meeting their needs.
Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor the software's performance and user engagement, identifying areas for improvement and proposing enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to greenhouse gas emissions management in the oil and gas sector.
Product Documentation:
- Contribute to user manuals, training materials, and other product documentation to ensure clients can effectively utilize the software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development, particularly in SaaS products.
- Familiarity with greenhouse gas emissions management in the oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using requirement management tools and methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
