About The Job

  • Manage critical operations, lead daily activities, and oversee data centers and a 24x7 engineering team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations of engineering infrastructure and equipment cost-effectively.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in critical electrical/mechanical systems, infrastructure, and operational practices, maintaining professionalism and commitment to 100% uptime while meeting customer needs.
  • Protect and enhance asset value, ensuring reliable performance of critical engineering systems, requiring hands-on knowledge for troubleshooting facility systems and equipment.
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and modification of all critical environment systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire detection, suppression, lighting, building management, and detection systems, with expertise in raised floor environments and best practices.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the command center, monitoring building management systems, managing incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and overseeing work order management professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with customer service level agreements, maintaining data center conditions, uptime of critical systems, timely incident escalation, and incident reporting within 24 hours.
  • Implement Change Control Applications or work method statements, including LOTO, as part of the Change Management Workflow Process for assigned facilities and systems.
  • Develop necessary MOP, SOP, and EOP, ensure the engineering team is trained and understands the critical system/facilities SOP and EOP.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines, promptly renew licenses and certifications.
  • Collaborate with function leaders, such as the EHS manager, to identify and remediate engineering safety hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for staff and occupants.
  • Develop annual maintenance and capital plans, including infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, and building modifications to ensure future capabilities.
  • Maintain and update all records and compliance documentation for operations, including building drawings and single-lines, ensuring regulatory compliance with state or local laws.
  • Maintain effective communication with the operations team, customers, and vendors.
  • Submit customer reports timely, as required (e.g., monthly), and ensure full compliance with the contracted SLA.
  • Ensure vendors are consistently trained and qualified for their assigned facilities and associated work in the critical environment.
  • Manage the planning, organization, and control of site engineering teams, identifying training needs, tracking performance, taking disciplinary actions, coaching, and motivating direct reports.
  • Exhibit strong conduct of operations skills, technical expertise, personal accountability, and flawless execution of work in a highly critical environment, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Be willing to work after office hours and on public holidays during emergencies, provide support to the team, return to the site if necessary, and be available on-call 24x7.

Skills And Experience Required

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Property/Real Estate Management, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong formal conduct of operations skills, technical knowledge, personal accountability, and flawless execution of work activities commensurate with a highly critical environment and associated expectations for exceptional customer satisfaction and confidence
  • 8-10 years of experience with relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of local laws that govern facility engineering equipment operation and maintenance, including safety and environment protection
  • Good technical knowledge with hands-on knowledge/experience and understanding of risk management and critical systems operations, including HVAC, Standby emergency power, uninterruptible power supplies, and associated infrastructure
