Responsibilities
- Commission and integrate modern control systems for load sharing and load shedding in industrial and power plants, including switchgear control, protection systems, and SCADA for PMS/AMS in distribution circuits and generators.
- Work on both onshore and offshore projects involving SCADA, electrical systems, emergency shutdown systems, access control, and automatic tank gauging.
- Provide technical commissioning support for ComAp, Schindler, or Regin products via email, phone, and on-site visits, primarily in Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, and other SEA countries (including Australia and NZ).
- Assist in designing control systems, including PLC, SCADA, single-line, and circuit diagrams.
- Support application design, installation, and commissioning at customer sites while validating and reporting warranty claims.
- Conduct hands-on and online training at the Cost Centre, training facilities, and customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve daily issues with ComAp, Schindler, or Regin products and applications.
- Assist the sales team during technical discussions with customers and distributors.
- Collaborate with ComAp and Regin HQ departments, providing customer feedback for marketing and R&D improvements.
- Maintain and manage technical equipment for demonstrations, training, and site emulation, including ComAp starter kits, simulator kits, and demo controllers.
- Deliver technical presentations to customers and distributors, guiding them in selecting the right products for their applications.
Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in site commissioning, testing, and application/technical support within the electrical/mechanical engineering field.
- Show proficiency in PLC or microprocessor-based controls, software, and logic development.
- Possess a strong understanding of reciprocating engines, generators, pumps, compressors, and other industrial equipment.
- Have expertise in power systems, electrical machines, and control systems.
- Be familiar with power generation, engines, and the operation of electrical switchgear.
- Have the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation related to electronic components and products.
- Demonstrate highly developed fault diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, particularly with ComAp and Regin products.
- Possess advanced PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft operating systems.
- Have strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
- Be able to travel overseas for business trips.
- Be willing to work on ad hoc weekends as needed.
