Job Description
Responsible for Battery & Charger qualification & testing (new qualification, engineering change, reliability, etc), results reporting, problem resolution and failure analysis
Interpret test plans, electronic specifications, developing validation & testing plans for battery pack, performing validation tests, analyzing and reporting test results with reports
Ensure released Battery & Charger is fulfilling the internal standards, external product safety and country specific requirements.
Collaborate with Germany counterpart to manage the test plans & resources to validate & analyze the testing results at the manufacturing locations in concert with testing.
Co-Develop test plans to verify the design requirements conformity & validate new battery packs for next generation consumer electronic products
Perform deep dive failure analysis on the Battery & Charger from new qualification, engineering change, reliability test failure & support battery testing on warranty claims and customer complaints.
Regular review with counterpart and monitor the effectiveness of the Battery & Charger test plans, implement improvements where necessary & update Management on the status & results.
Responsible on Battery & Charger lab measuring & test equipment, fixtures/tools including the maintenance and calibration.
Close collaboration with counterpart to ensure test method alignment between test labs.
Lead and develop a group of technician to ensure test conducted per the test plan & within the timeline.
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of working experience in electronic manufacturing environment (engineering, quality, qualification and/or testing)
Able to understand and interpret technical drawing, test plans and perform measurement & testing according to the test procedures.
Deep understanding of EE test equipment and use with appropriate application (Power Analyzer, Oscilloscope, multi meter, universal tester, data-loggers, etc.).
Familiarity with Lithium-based cell & battery technologies and charging requirements is helpful & with battery testing & equipment knowledge is desired.
Familiarity with test platforms including Automated Test Equipment, utilizing data acquisition and instrumentation control software such as LabVIEW or similar test scripting.
Some electronics design & software experience preferred with ability to review schematics and electronic board layout designs
Good in technical report writing and include complete data analysis and technical solutions recommendation.
Self-motivated, passionate, result-oriented, proactive and a team player with strong interpersonal, communications and leadership skills
