JOB TITLE: Bank Reconciliation Analyst
JOB TYPE: Full Time
LOCATION: Malaysia
PURPOSE:
The treasure operation team under the international treasure finance part of the daily treasure operation work, including bank transaction reconciliation, bank charge payment application, system rule configuration, account opening and closing changes, and file management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete the reconciliation of the various group bank accounts/channels in a timely manner throughout the month and at month end.
Deal effectively with queries from other departments and resolve queries in a timely, professional manner, escalating issues where necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
Investigate outstanding bank transactions and following with relevant departments to close the items within requested timelines.
Be actively involved in contributing to the development of the business, department and systems relating to the tasks for which you are responsible including assisting with ad-hoc projects.
Keep detailed analysis of various streams of transactions, currently not available via Open Accounts.
Ensure Data is accurately reported on both the underwriting and reconciliation systems and that reconciling items are identified and understood, escalating issues where appropriate and liaising with appropriate departments and staff members.
Apply bank charge payment to 3rd party vendors accurately and within requested timetable.
Complete the rule configuration requirement within the specified time according to the operation guidelines.
Ensure processes are regularly reviewed to ensure tasks are performed in the most efficient manner and that process documentation is kept up-to-date to enable others to perform your primary duties when cover is required.
Assist the finance team in month end reconciliations and duties.
Other ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
Qualifications:
College degree or above, financial major background, 1-3 years of financial work experience, proficient in Excel, data analysis, and proficiency in SQL is preferred.
Interested in the payment industry and ready to meet international challenges.
Excellent learning ability, strong curiosity; good communication and coordination skills, and emphasis on teamwork.
Strong logical ability, clear thinking, able to think independently and have decisiveness.
Strong execution ability, careful work, and at the same time have a sense of responsibility and ownership. Able to accurately find the breakthrough point of problems under high pressure and timely promote and solve problems.
Fluent English and Chinese proficiency (able to understand or be able to understand after training: the original bank and channel bills for closing accounts).
Candidates with backgrounds in banking, finance, Hi-Tech, and the Big Four is preferred.
