Job Description: Automotive Technical Executive
Position Summary: Handal BCM Sdn Bhd, a leading automotive company focused on commercial vehicle vehicles such as Foton, Kaicene, Golden Dragon, and more, is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Automotive Technical Executive to join our team. This position is in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia and primarily involves providing technical support to customers and actively participating in the vehicle warranty process. The successful candidate will be required to travel as part of their responsibilities. We welcome applications from candidates who possess a minimum Malaysian Skill Certificate Level 3 (SKM) with additional consideration given to candidates holding a diploma or degree in automotive engineering.
Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support to customers regarding commercial vehicles. Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems efficiently and effectively.
- Warranty Processing: Handle vehicle warranty claims and ensure compliance with warranty policies and procedures. Coordinate with relevant departments to expedite claim approvals and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for customers and internal staff on brand vehicle technology, maintenance procedures, and warranty-related processes. Ensure participants have a thorough understanding of the vehicles and warranty coverage.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify and resolve product-related issues affecting customer satisfaction. Conduct inspections and quality checks on China brand vehicles to uphold company standards.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Liaise with internal departments, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to address customer needs, provide technical expertise, and contribute to continuous product improvement.
- Travel: Be prepared to travel to customer locations or other designated sites as required to provide on-site technical support, conduct training, or assist with warranty-related matters.
Job Requirements
- Education: Minimum Malaysian Skill Certificate Level 3 (SKM) in automotive or a related field. Candidates with a diploma or degree in automotive engineering will be given preference. Fresh grads also can apply
- Can speak in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of China brand vehicles and automotive technology. Familiarity with Foton, Kaicene, Golden Dragon, or similar brands is advantageous.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Ability to understand customer needs, resolve issues, and build positive relationships.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical and critical thinking abilities to diagnose technical problems and propose effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical individuals. Additionally, availability to communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese is an added advantage.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Team Player: Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure. Ability to travel and work outside regular office hours if required.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
