Automation Tester

Location: Kuala Lumpur | on-site

Job type: Contract (renewable/convert to perm)

Required Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in test automation with a focus on Katalon or HP UFT

Job Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing automated testing to execute various test cases using Katalon or HP UFT
• Conduct thorough regression testing to verify fixes and ensure software quality.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues and usability concerns.
• Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects in collaboration with development teams.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable automation scripts using programming languages.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Identify opportunities to improve test processes and tools, and implement best practices in test automation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, scripts, and test results.
• Investigate and resolve issues in test automation environments and scripts.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Katalon for web automation.
• Expertise in Katalon for mobile test automation (iOS and Android).
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience in API testing

Testing Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.
• Experience with various types of testing (e.g., functional, regression, performance).
