We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Associate/Senior Associate, Loan Market Solutions. Reporting to the Director, Loan Market Solutions, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Loan Market Solutions department and its growth.
Key responsibilities:
- To support current team operations in KL. Perform all delegated tasks incidental to contracts and mandates related to loan administration and more specifically back and middle office services to the credit focused asset management industry in global markets.
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation of cash and asset transactions.
- Monitor account positions and actively research discrepancies.
- Update cash, positions, trade & compliance data.
- Prepare cashflow reports.
- Assist in monthly compliance reports.
- Prepare month end reconciliations and reports.
- Run interest, borrowing base, waterfall and other loan related calculations.
- Execute general loan administration tasks.
- Review tasks undertaken by other team members.
- Active communication with other teams and clients in global locations.
- Engage with other areas of the business (such as Technology) as and when required.
- Any other matters that may arise during the course of a client mandate.
Key requirements:
- Associate: No experience required but up to a year's relevant experience in the financial services industry is an added advantage.
- Senior Associate: Up to 2 years relevant experience in the financial services industry is an added advantage.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance/Banking, Economics or Mathematics.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Confident in nature and oral communication with clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to demonstrate intermediate level competency in Excel skills. Knowledge in Excel VBA and/or experience in building financial spreadsheets are added advantages (please note that candidates may be tested based on their skills claims).
- Meticulous with an eye for detail, and ability to work in a fast paced environment and withstand pressure.
- Be highly motivated, adaptable with a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work in a team with colleagues based in different time zones.
- Flexible with respect to working hours due to team's servicing of clients in global locations. May be required to work on certain Malaysian public holidays although time off in lieu will be given.
