JOB SUMMARY
Oversee all hedging operations for EPF and its subsidiaries within the Forex & Derivatives Section of the Treasury Department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- To assist in the daily management of FX Forward, Cross Currency Swaps, and Interest Rate Swaps for both Simpanan Konvensional (SK) and Simpanan Shariah (SS). Ensure timely execution and compliance with established internal policies and external regulations.
- To monitor contract maturities and assist in initiate rollovers to maintain continuous coverage of currency(s) positions. Execute interest rate swaps to effectively manage exposure to interest rate fluctuations.
- To assist in developing and implementing rollover strategies, including optimizing tenure, swap points, and assessing counterparties liquidity to achieve optimal mark-to-market (MTM) results upon settlement.
- To prepare and maintain detailed records of all rollover transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly transaction reports related to hedging activities.
- To assist in providing insights and recommendations to the Head of Section, Head of Treasury, and senior management based on analysis of rollover performance and current market conditions.
- To collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate swap agreements related to financing proposals.
- To assist in executing Interest Rate Swap (IRS) transactions for the EPF's wholly owned subsidiaries, ensuring adherence to best execution practices and effective management of financing costs.
- To monitor market trends, currency movements, and economic indicators to inform decision-making for initiating or rolling over FX Forward contracts.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Malaysian citizen
- Passed the Malaysian Language (including passing the Oral Test) at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia level or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the government
- Possess a Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government from any local or overseas higher learning institutions. Knowledge and understanding in Accounting, Business Management, Banking & Finance/Investment are added advantages.
- Below 5 years of working experience in related fields.
- Independent, highly disciplined, prioritizes work and able to achieve the desired performance.
- Has interpersonal communication skills.
- Has leadership qualities and the ability to work in teams.
- Good time management.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
