What would you do
- Manage and oversee effective implementation of data governance policies, framework and operating standards related to data management, data sharing and data protection that drive the creation, maintenance, and oversight of accurate and reliable data.
- Lead and coordinate with all levels of stakeholders on data governance projects and activities such as data flow mapping, data quality assessment, data inventory reviews, data retention and crown-jewels assessment.
- Data compliance reporting. Monitor and report on the performance and compliance of data governance policies and metrics. Identify and resolve any issues or gaps.
- Administration and approval on data sharing and transfer request.
- Perform assurance and effectiveness review by testing and validation over Data Governance and Data Security Protection controls implemented.
- Develop and maintain inventory of enterprise data. Implement capabilities across data architecture tools and systems, including metadata, data quality, and metrics.
- Work with Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Data Privacy Officer (DPO) to review BNM regulations, Company Acts, Financial Services Act and Personal Data Protection Act requirements and implications on data secrecy provision as well as safeguarding the sensitive and confidential data.
- Formalise Data Leak Prevention policies and coordinate to establish necessary procedures/enhancements for implementation.
- Advisory on compliance and regulatory matters with respect to Data Protection and Governance ie. MCIPD, PDPA, RMiT.
- Conduct training and awareness to employees with regards to Data Protection and Governance aspects.
Who should join us
- Bachelor's or Masters Degree in IT, Information Security.
- Professional certification as Data Protection implementer or practitioner ie. Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), CISA, CISM, CGEIT.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Data Governance, Data Security, Information Management or related field.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) of Data Governance, Data Management or related field.
- BNM, RMIT Guidelines.
- BNM, Management of Customers Information & Permitted Disclosure (MCIPD).
- Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
- Financial Services Act.
