Main Accountabilities
- Act as the main contact for site operations indirect procurement to ensure security of supply for plant operations.
- Responsible person to support short term/ adhoc tactical issues to ensure continuity of supply.
- Manage end to end procurement for strategic capex project and responsible site capex.
- Oversee the strategic sourcing lifecycle for selected indirect categories (MRO, facilities management, corporate spend), from business needs and market assessment, sourcing & award, and contract implementation & execution, aligned with the Group Procurement objectives.
- For other Indirect categories, support the team in development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
- Facilitate the deployment and adoption for the eSourcing (SAP Ariba) and Buying (Catalog) applications.
- Liaise cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (site operations, project managers, admin, finance, commercial and legal counsels) and key account managers in supplier organizations to manager relationships and ensure effective collaboration.
- Collaborate with regional stakeholder on global Indirect contract initiation, implementation, execution & management.
- Drive the implementation and execution of Post Award Contract Management (PACM) for selected Indirect categories, including KPI Scorecards, contract management plans, and vendor performance evaluation.
- Adopt and promote the preferred suppliers for Indirect categories tracking contract compliance, utilization and savings.
- Deliver best value purchasing through cost savings, quality, flexibility, governance, and strategic supplier relationships.
- Be an integral part of the Indirect Procurement Asia team working with stakeholders across to promote the function and develop standard processes and governance
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 6-10 years experience in procurement operations, project procurement and category management, in petrochemicals, energy or manufacturing industry.
Functional/Technical Competencies
- Source-to-Pay Process, Demand & Supply Assessment, Category/Sourcing Strategy Development, Contract Management, Supplier Management and Negotiation Strategy & Execution
Desirable Skill / Knowledge
- Demonstrable site operations indirect procurement sourcing/ category management / project procurement
- Knowledge and experience of transactional purchasing- AP experience advantage; SAP S4 HAHA MM; SAP Ariba eSourcing management
- Numerate and technical
- Commercial acumen
- Good communication & negotiation skills internal customer focused
- Travel within Malaysia between sites
