PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- To provide technical support functions for the Local Area Network and Wide Area Network including the management of hubs, switches, routers, firewalls, and servers operation.
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, M365 email systems, and server hardware.
- Plan and Schedule training for technical staff to enhance skillset and support of new business range.
- Take care of technical support teams with strong leadership to meet users expectations and business SLA.
- Monitoring, maintaining and remote support on operating systems and networks, including the addition of new users to the network and establishment of rights and privileges.
- Proactively addressing IT infrastructure issues that arise
- Enhance users experience through improved service management to users.
- Monitor/Execute necessary action to minimize service cost to improve service profitability.
- Manage resources for optimal performance. This will consist of resource management for daily operations, projects, administrative work, and time allotted for holidays and paid/unpaid time off.
- Oversee IT related projects, network infrastructure and systems to ensure optimal performance is achieved.
- To stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in infrastructure systems and cloud computing and make recommendations for new services or platforms when appropriate.
- Keeping up to date with the latest developments in IT and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement with the Warehouse IT infrastructure.
- Escalation of issues/problems to keep Top Management informed, advice and provide recommendation to Top Management as and when needed.
- Conduct tender, RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), or RFQ (Request for Quotation), including specifications for evaluation, approval process, and service agreement finalization.
- Any other responsibility that may be assigned by the superior from time to time when the need arises.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
- Document activities taken in incident management systems, knowledge base, or ticketing systems, as required.
- To carry out the support and practices within PKT Group of Companies.
- To carry out 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) practices within PKT Group of Companies.
- EXPERIENCES
- Minimum 4 - 6 years working experience in the related field is required for this position. Experience before in Aruba, Juniper, Ruckus, or any networking and wireless products will be an advantage.
Microsoft Products (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, M365, IIS, etc)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN)
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly language
