Job Summary:The Valve Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting valve components to ensure they meet quality standards and are produced efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate various machinery and tools used in valve assembly.
Assemble valve components and subassemblies according to technical drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to complete assembly tasks.
Ensure proper alignment and fit of components during assembly.- Inspect assembled valves for defects or deviations from specifications.
Perform functional tests to verify proper operation of the valve.
- Document inspection results and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
Operate and maintain machinery used in the valve assembly process, including drills, lathes, and other manufacturing equipment.- Make minor adjustments and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
Follow machine operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of components and materials used in assembly.
Replenish materials as needed and notify the supervisor of any shortages or supply issues.- Perform routine maintenance on assembly tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the safety officer.
Maintain accurate records of production output, inspection results, and any issues encountered.- Complete production logs and other required documentation as per company standards.
Participate in training programs to stay updated on new assembly techniques and technologies.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Any other job assigned by superior or the management from time to time.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in valve assembly or related fields.
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Ability to lift and move materials and components weighing.
Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly work.- Work is performed in a manWorking environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection may be required.
