Application Engineer (PLC)

Location : Jalan Pinang, KL

• Job Summary :

Work with other team members to support mechanical design activities throughout a project life cycles including Feasibility Studies, Front End Engineering Design, Detailed Design up to Operation and Maintenance primarily for delivering water treatment solutions to the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining and Chemical industries.

• Responsibilities :

Work closely with both Design Engineering and Operations Team to provide instrument and programming engineering support during design of new systems or debottlenecking of existing assets.

• Develop PLC programs using programming tools (Unilogic, Visilogic or equivalent tools) for the control of water treatment systems including setting up of HMIs, Alarms and control protocols.

Involved in product design validation and innovation for improvement in operating performance and efficiency.

• Development of Instrument and Control Engineering Deliverables for Project Execution.

Development of instrument and programming specifications and datasheets for procurement of instruments, control systems and PLC.

• Development of CTRs, Technical and Cost Proposals for clients Coordinating E&I contractors for builds and commissioning.

• Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree holder

• Experience in process control system (PLC, SCADA, HMI) and IIOT system (cloud, gateway, remote monitoring).

Good understanding on process operating and control philosophy and able to develop control system architecture, control narratives, control logics, control safeguarding system and interlocks.

• Experience with network (Modbus, Profibus) and IOT protocols (TCP/IP, OPCUA, MQTT).

Experience with wiring termination and instrument signals.

• Experience in project management, control system installation, troubleshooting and system upgrading/migration.
