JOB SUMMARY Liaison person for policies on the implementation of APEL Centre and describe the APEL.A, APEL.C and APEL.Q application procedures
Manage various assessment instruments for awarding academic qualifications through APEL;
Provide all information related APEL as one stop centre;
Adhere MQA guidelines to Good Practices: APEL into university's existing quality assurance system.
To facilitate and process applications for APEL in terms of consultations and assessment.
To ensure clearly stated learning standards against prior learning are assessed (eg learning outcomes, competency standards).
Develop relationship with internal party faculty in terms of appointment of Advisor, Assessor and Moderator and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities to ensure the effectiveness of APEL implementation and assessment.
Assist to present annual review reports to the Senate and Management for review / approval
- DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Review feedback from learners and respective stakeholders regarding guidelines, procedures, processes and mechanism APEL
Explore any potential development or refinement of the guidelines, procedures, processes, and mechanism of APEL will be tabled in University Senate meetings for approval
To endure all procedures and processes pertaining to APEL accreditation are managed, implemented, and monitored systematically and efficiently.
Consultation to the learners regarding assessment method and credit award.
Facilitate the advisory and application evaluation process by Advisors
To liaise with all Assessors from different academic faculties; and assist to liaise with Moderators and ensure moderation process are conducted in accordance with the standard and quality of the respective program.
