JOB SUMMARYl Assisting to outline the policies on the implementation of APEL Centre
l Assisting to describe the APEL.A, APEL.C and APEL.Q application procedures for learners and HEPs;
l Assisting to highlight various assessment instruments for awarding academic qualifications through APEL;
l Assisting to provide all information related APEL as one stop centre;
l Assisting to adhere MQA guidelines to Good Practices: APEL into university's existing quality assurance system.
l Assisting to facilitate and process applications for APEL in terms of consultations and assessment.
l Assisting to ensure clearly stated learning standards against prior learning are assessed (eg learning outcomes, competency standards).
l Assisting to develop relationship with internal parties faculty / School in terms of appointment of Advisor, Assessor and Moderator and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities to ensure the effectiveness of APEL implementation and assessment.
l Assisting to present annual review reports to the Senate for approval
l Assisting to table and get approval for any potential development or refinement of the guidelines, procedures, processes and mechanism of APEL.C will be tabled in the City University Senate meetings.
- DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Governance and Quality Assurance
i. Assisting to review feedback from learners and respective stakeholders regarding guidelines, procedures, processes and mechanism APEL
ii. Assisting to explore any potential development or refinement of the guidelines, procedures, processes, and mechanism of APEL will be tabled in University Senate meetings for approval
iii. Assisting to endure all procedures and processes pertaining to APEL accreditation are managed, implemented, and monitored systematically and efficiently.
iv. Assisting to ensure the governance of quality assurance aligned with the current GGP: APEL
v. Assisting to appoint an External Assessor to govern and ensure the quality of implementation of APEL in City University.
i. Assisting to provide information regarding APEL to learners
ii. Assisting to organize awareness campaign pertaining to APEL
iii. Assisting to handle all affairs related to day-to-day administration and operation as well as liaison with stakeholders.
iv. Assisting to assist in facilitating the appeal process.
v. Assisting to communicate learner's results of appeal.
vi. Assisting to manage all filing and records of administrative document, info structure and relevant data pertaining to the learner's application, assessment, result, and appeal.
- Consultation and Assessment
i. Assisting to provide consultation to the learners regarding assessment method and credit award.
ii. Assisting to facilitate the advisory and application evaluation process by Advisors
iii. Assisting to liaise with all Assessors from different academic faculties; and Assisting to liaise with Moderators and ensure moderation process are conducted in accordance with the standard and quality of the respective program.
- Resources and Development
i. Assisting to manage the databank of the assessment's questions and tools that are continuously developed by our team of Subject Expert and Assessor.
ii. Assisting to continuously conduct gap analysis, identify improvement areas, and develop suitable training and enhancement programmes for Administrator, Assessors, Advisors, Moderators, and other supporting administrative staff
iii. Assisting to ensure training and development for staff are being carried out frequently to further enhance knowledge among them.d) Resources and Development

- 00 - RM7,500.00 per month
