This position is responsible for identifying seasonal buys for the assigned market based on the understanding of brand direction, category strategy, consumer preference and market trends.
Primary Accountabilities, Including But Not Limited To
Aligning directions with Retail Buying Manager, the Senior Buyer is responsible for:
Execute key strategies for buying function and closely monitor responsible market product performance across 3 channels to deliver the financial category/classification targets, inventory levels, margins, turns, and sales promotions to ensure maximum return on investment.
Build a best in class product assortments that prioritize brand storytelling, head-to-toe customer experience and maximize sales in each market.
Build the seasonal line at each key milestone (Line Close, pre-GTM, GTM etc.) and provide a strong POV to support the business needs.
Drive assortment efficiency through ST improvements, RSP opportunities, volume drivers and market specific adaptation
Partner and work closely with Retail Planning & Retail Allocation to develop seasonal merchandise plans to drive accurate sales and open-to-buy planning, seasonal launching and product lifecycle planning.
Prepare seasonal hindsight and product opportunities to inform the Go-To-Market processes (GTM). Build the seasonal line at each key milestone (Line Close, pre-GTM, GTM etc.) and provide a strong POV to support the business needs.
Evaluates store profile by performance of product and improve buying strategies.
Track product performance results and make recommendations to maximize profitability through effective in-season management practices.
Accountable for Carryover performance and recommend actions based on sales trend.
Regular touchpoints with Retail Country Team to understand the business needs, product hindsight's, customer feedbacks, competitor and market activities.
Partner with Retail Planning & Supply Planning Team on chasing or reflowing receipts as appropriate with consideration of commercial needs and operation constraints.
Ensure structured reporting deliverables are met, evaluating reports for accuracy, performance efficiency and standardized best practices.
Participate in the continuous effort to improve buying process and strategies. Support the implementation of new systems and raising efficiencies to ensure processes enhance workflow and optimized inventory to achieve financial plans
Supporting the Training Team to conduct seasonal product training to our frontline.
Support ad-hoc duties and projects when required.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in retail merchandising or buying (footwear & apparel) industry
Retail operations and product (apparel or footwear) exposure to key markets in Asia preferred
Act like an owner of the business, take full ownership for the achievement of excellent, immediate-term results.
An acute eye for product and trend.
Demonstrates good business acumen and both short- and long-term thinking
High level of accuracy, good analytical skills and attention-to-detail to analyze, ability to interpret high amount of data and determine the implications. Strong fundamentals in Retail Math.
Able to handle multiple demands and competing priorities successfully.
Good organizational skills to complete course of action in a structured, organized and efficient manner.
Good communication skills to facilitate resolution of allocation issues.
Good teamwork and collaboration with cross functional teams and with all levels of employees.

Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, BI tools. Exposure to SAP & Tableau a plus.
