Agile Project manager

Job Description (JD)

Responsible for the overall project, budget, and deliverables.

Collaborate with squad (project) team to evolve a robust project schedule based on Agile/Scrum approach.

Balance the principles of Agile with the regulations and compliance needs of the banking industry. Adhere to the Group's project management playbook and IT/RMiT standards.

Facilitate adherence to the Agile/Scrum best practices:

During sprint planning, the team crafts a sprint goal and prioritizes the backlog of user stories that will be the scope of the sprint. Sprint scope will not be changed mid-way.

The entry criteria for the sprint must meet the definition of ready.

The exit criteria for the sprint must meet the definition of done.

Any debt (incomplete work, ideas for better CX, defects, etc.) that is carried over from the sprint after exit is added to the backlog and prioritized versus incomplete user stories for remaining sprints.

The squad (project team) practices a daily Scrum to inspect progress toward the sprint goal.

Key Skills / Knowledge and Behaviors (if applicable)

Manage dependencies between tasks, anticipate the impact of activities that run into hurdles and plan corrective actions, trade-offs, and work arounds as necessary to ensure the overall project goals are met within time and budget.

Monitor progress of tasks versus planned schedule for all project activity.

Assess, document, update and manage project issues and risks on an ongoing basis.

Track project budget on ongoing basis ensure project is executed within budget, including liaising with finance and procurement team.

Prepare project plan and status documentation and provide periodic project progress updates promptly and when necessary.
