WHERE YOU FIT IN
Youll be part of the IGU Assets & SEAM team; whose purpose is to be the single provider of learning content creation and curation.
Specifically, the team will:
Protect value at the Asset by ensuring that Compliance and Competence Assurance (CCA) processes run to expectations at the Asset, as agreed with the local business stakeholders
Create value at the Asset by understanding the local business needs, as part of the HR team, and leveraging the global portfolio to deliver learning locally. This will include formal Learning (e.g. courses, assessments, blended learning), Informal Learning (e.g. Nuggets, Portals, external learning sources), and KM solutions to support learning in the flow of work.
Your mission is to enable consistency of high-quality delivery across Shell by having learning content created or procured once and reused across the Enterprise; the resulting economies of scale will deliver the highest quality for the lowest price. You will work closely together with other teams in Talent & Learning to make and execute appropriate buy/borrow/build decisions going for market standards when it comes to non-differentiating capabilities and creating bespoke solutions to grow and nurture differentiating capabilities.
A core of the work will remain focused on individual learning (through skill building, competence development and Compliance & Competence Assurance) and leadership/team learning (through team interventions and leadership programmes). The team will also provide learning for communities through KM.
You have a passion for improving organisational performance through individual performance and are constantly pushing the envelope on how to do this faster and more effectively with the solutions in your portfolio; you drive continuous innovation across your portfolio with a bias to-wards learning in the flow of work and at the moment of need.
Your mission is to support business performance through helping individuals learn faster, continuously reskill and upskill, and able to deliver their work safely and ethically. To do so you will actively leverage the available global learning solutions and signal to the portfolio teams in Learning Solutions when additional learning is required.
THE ROLE
Youll be directly supporting the Shell Middle Distillate Synthesis (SMDS) plant in Bintulu, Malaysia
Youll ensuring the CCA processes are followed within assigned operation departments and data is available to site leaders to manage & drive compliance/assurance.
Deliver the right learning solution to deepen individual competence, build business capability and be a thought partner to the department focal points (production supervisor, production coordinator, SME, )
Engage and deliver continuous improvement and innovative efforts to eliminate waste from learning work processes, partner with key stakeholders, assess & improve training practices, and other work processes.
Demonstrate a Learner Mindset as you partner with key stakeholders to embed learner mindset into the ways of working.
Support the development of the asset by identifying and building new competencies, capabilities, and deepen learner mindsets within the business.

Prior experience in a Learning organisation preferred (preferred skilled of learning theories, methods, principles, practice, documents, policies, processes, and systems concerned with good learning design, development, and delivery).
Excellent communication, influencing, facilitation and relationship skills.
Proven ability to multi-task, prioritise and adapt/intervene when needed.
Team leadership experience.
Experience in manufacturing Operations or Maintenance.
Proven business partnering/consulting experience and facilitation skills are critical.
QUALIFICATION
A Bachelors Degree (Technical Degree, especially Engineering Degree is highly preferred).
Non technical degree, with strong learning background will also be considered.
Minimum of 5 years working experiences.
Oil & gas experience will have an added advantage.
