- We are currently seeking an exceptional professional to join us as Accounts Payable Specialist
Perform three-way match and resolve any discrepancy that arises
Obtain evidence of approval for non-trade purchases/purchase orders, receipt of purchases, and code invoices into accounting systems.
Maintain AP-related systems and ensure that it is up to date
Communicate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and queries in a timely and effective manner
Ensure all invoices are up to date on a regular basis to meet month-end deadlines
Maintain vendor data and support new vendor onboarding process
Prepare and arrange payments and update the systems on a timely basis
Perform supplier reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
Manage accrual and advance payment processes for all purchases
Process employees expense claims, highlighting claims that are not in line with the expense policy
Support corporate income tax, indirect tax (such as GST, VAT, SST) and withholding tax submissions activities and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
Support the month-end close processes and generate month closing reports and analysis within timeline
Perform account reconciliations on a timely basis
Prepare analysis and reports as required on a timely basis
Support statutory audit, budgeting and forecasting processes
Support banking activities, requirements, and reporting
Maintain documentation and filing as required and ensure compliance with policies and local regulations.
Support and assist in continuous process improvements
Perform any ad-hoc duties as required.
Degree in Accountancy/ACCA
2-3 years accounts payable experience in Shared Service Function is an added advantage
Meticulous and able to process data with a high degree of accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Reliable, responsible, accountable and proactive approach to problem solving
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
Positive work attitude, demonstrate good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
