Job Description

Job Responsibility

  • Financial Record-Keeping:
    • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
    • Record daily financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
    • Manage accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and following up on outstanding payments.
    • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Bank Reconciliation:
    • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
    • Identify and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.
  • Expense Management:
    • Monitor and record employee expenses and company expenditures.
    • Ensure all expenses are appropriately authorized and documented.
  • Payroll Support:
    • Assist in preparing payroll by collecting and verifying employee attendance and timesheets.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee salaries.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare periodic financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Compliance and Auditing:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
    • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Job Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Able to communicate in Mandarin
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., UBS).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and practices is a plus.
  • Required to travel to HQ (Sunway Damansara) at least once a week.
