Job Description

Location: Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Mid Jan to Mid Jul)

Position Type: Full-time, Temporary

Client : Fortune 500 Multi National firm

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced contract staff to temporarily replace an Assistant Manager on maternity leave for a period of 6 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, particularly in Tax, to support the team's daily functions, reporting, and analysis.

Job Scope/Responsibilities:

  • Account Payables Management:
  • Oversee daily accounting functions for Accounts Payables to meet business operation requirements.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of Accounts Payables reporting and analysis.
  • Handle financial checks for vendors regarding advance or deposit payments.
  • Vendor and Payment Management:
  • Analyze and manage non-PO purchases and aging reports.
  • Collaborate with SSC to manage vendors, IC confirmations, and vendor balance reconciliations.
  • Monitor fund allocations, payment executions, and ICS control performance.
  • Policy and Process Management:
  • Update and maintain policies, guidelines, processes, and forms related to Accounts Payables as needed.
  • Invoicing and Claims Management:
  • Manage importations, advance payment requests, staff claim approvals, and vendor master data creation.
  • Clear Travel Agent invoices against Paying Agent statements and resolve any discrepancies to ensure timely posting and payment of invoices.
  • Inventory and Asset Management:
  • Report and analyze inventory to ensure alignment between book records and physical stock.
  • Oversee asset creation, capitalization, and tagging processes.
  • Tax and Compliance Support:
  • Assist in corporate tax filings and ensure tax compliance.
  • Handle matters related to custom duties.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders on ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, or a Professional Accounting Qualification.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Experience in SAP and Corporate Tax preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external vendors.
