The accountant will manage all the general accounting, payments, GST, account receivable, tax, annual audit and returns for Australia entity and support other APAC region when require. The accountant will provide all necessary support to the business and finance team ensuring data integrity across all Evernex platforms.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of the month-end closing of accounts (QuickBooks and BFC) and other relevant activity for Australia entity, which including the analysis of accounts, journal preparation postings, Balance Sheet reconciliations, taxes, and other month end processing.
- Maintain GL data integrity via balance sheet reconciliation, identify issue, unreconciled and aged items.
- Reconcile and analyze intercompany accounts.
- Assisting in liaising with external auditors and tax agents when required.
- Responsible for the issuing invoice and the collection in the region.
- Verify and ensure that the team are in compliances with Global Credit related policy.
- Generate key financial performance indicators including not limited to AR aging.
- Posts customer payments by recording cash transactions.
- Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales and from customers.
- Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line, coordinating contact with collections department.
- Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report.
- Recommended Sales and Service Tax rate to sales team.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- Min 4 - 5 years of experience in Accounting, including AP, AR, Cashbook in multi-national company.
- Experience with MS MS Office applications and QuickBooks is desired.
