Job Description

Company Background:

This company is a well-known family karaoke in Johor Bahru, KL, Klang Valley and Penang area, and there have 11 outlets throughout Malaysia.
  • Job Description:
Manage, oversee, and to ensure effective daily operations of the accounting department which shall include but not limit to:
  • month-end and year-end accounts reporting
accounts payable/receivable
  • general ledger
payroll and utilities
  • budgeting, forecast monitoring, and budgeting report
cash flow and forecast monitoring
  • ensuring correct stock balance records and monitoring stock levels
revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  • balance sheet reconciliations
related companies account reconciliations
  • yearly group accounts consolidation
Establish and enforce proper accounting records and systems with internal controls, comply with accounting standards and SST regulations, initiate process improvement and corrective actions on accounting workflows.
  • Monitor, evaluate and analyze accounting data and produce timely financial reports and budgeting reports to the Board of Directors and management team.
Manage cash flow and treasury functions.
  • Liaise with the bankers for annual bank review, loan facilities and other bank official matters.
Coordinate and complete annual audits and income tax submission with external auditors and tax agents.
  • Liaise with company secretary, maintain proper filing of annual returns and secretarial related documents according to Companies Act
Manage accounting teams, including training, scheduling, coaching, communicating job expectations and appraising job performance.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
To perform any other duties as instructed by immediate superior or any other person / persons assigned by the Management.
  • Requirements:
Min Bachelors Degree or Professional Qualification in Finance/ Accountancy
  • At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field
Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Ms Excel, Ms Power Point and Ms Words)
  • Knowledge on Accounting System with Xero Accounting Software, Autocount will be an advantage
Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate in English, Malay and proficiency in Mandarin with all levels of staff and across departments.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and able to meet tight reporting deadlines
Experience in managing large groups of team members

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month

Schedule:
  • Day shift
Supplemental Pay:
  • 13th month salary
Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Puchong: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:
  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:
  • Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
Management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Xero: 1 year (Preferred)
Auto Count: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:
  • Mandarin (Required)
