Job Summary:This position involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. The Account Assistant reports to the HEAD OF FINANCE and collaborates with other team members to ensure the smooth functioning of the finance department.
- Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial documentation.- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions promptly and accurately.- Verify and reconcile discrepancies in financial documents.
Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor and track expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.- Prepare expense reports and assist in expense management.
Accurately enter financial data into accounting software.- Code and categorize financial transactions appropriately.
- Assist in Month-end Closing:
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.- Prepare and organize financial reports as required.
- Communication and Coordination:
Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary financial information.- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
- Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and information.
Undertake special projects or tasks as assigned by the Manager.
Min a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- At least 3 years and above of working experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in UBS accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
