Job Description

Job Summary:
This position involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. The Account Assistant reports to the HEAD OF FINANCE and collaborates with other team members to ensure the smooth functioning of the finance department.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Transaction Processing:
Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions promptly and accurately.
  • Verify and reconcile discrepancies in financial documents.
  • Bank Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Expense Tracking:
Monitor and track expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Prepare expense reports and assist in expense management.
  • Data Entry and Coding:
Accurately enter financial data into accounting software.
  • Code and categorize financial transactions appropriately.
  • Assist in Month-end Closing:
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and organize financial reports as required.
  • Communication and Coordination:
Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary financial information.
  • Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation.
  • Support Audits:
Assist in internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and information.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks:
Undertake special projects or tasks as assigned by the Manager.
  • Qualifications:
Min a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years and above of working experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in UBS accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
