Position Overview: The Account Executive - General Ledger will be responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of the companys financial records. This role involves overseeing all general ledger accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting and analysis.
- General Ledger Management:
Oversee daily general ledger operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Prepare and review financial statements and reports.- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to management.
- Reconciliation and Analysis:
Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and variances.
Provide detailed analysis and explanations of account variances to management.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in general ledger operations.
- Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
- Collaboration and Support:
Collaborate with other finance team members and departments to support overall financial goals.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
