We are seeking a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting principles, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
Filing and Documentation:
Organize and maintain physical and digital records including scanning, photocopying receipts, and other documentation.
Ensure all documents are filed correctly and securely for easy retrieval.
- Double Entry Bookkeeping:
Record daily sales, expenses, and other financial transactions accurately using double entry accounting principles.
Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger.
Reconcile bank statements with general ledger balances on a regular basis.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Generate monthly and yearly financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Provide insights into financial performance and trends based on analysis of financial data.
Demonstrate understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
Apply accounting standards and guidelines to daily tasks.
- Communication and Coordination:
Liaise with auditors and tax firms annually for audits and tax filings.
Provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role.
Solid understanding of accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel and UBS system.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Associates degree in Accounting or relevant field is preferred.
